Hell’s Gate National Park

The Hell’s Gate National Park is a Kenya safari tours remarkable region of the Great Rift Valley, so named because of the strong geothermal activity that occurs within its borders. One of Africa’s most atmospheric parks, with breathtaking views of towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes, and plumes of geothermal steam rising to the surface.

Lake Bogoria

Of all the dramatic lakes in the Rift Valley, Kenya’s Lake Bogoria is one of the less well-known, but it is just as beautiful and inspiring. Owing to its significance, Lake Bogoria was designated as a Ramsar Site and has been a protected area since the early 1970s under the Lake Bogoria National Reserve. The lake is roughly 34 kilometres long by 3.5 kilometres wide, and its depth is only about 10 metres.

A salty, alkaline lake to the south of Lake Baringo is called Lake Bogoria. It is home to one of the biggest populations of lesser flamingos in the world due to its perfect weather. The flamingos are fed by the blue-green algae that thrives in the lake because of its alkalinity. Up to two million flamingos may occasionally be seen feeding in the lake, resulting in an amazing swaying pink blaze as the birds go about their business. Due to the extremely specific habitat that the millions of brilliant pink flamingos require, this scene is unique to the Rift Valley Lakes of Kenya and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

At Lake Bogoria, in addition to flamingos, one can observe a variety of other birds and animals, including buffalo, zebra, baboons, warthogs, caracals, spotted hyenas, impala, and dik dik.

Masai Mara Game Drive

The road is excellent for the most part; there is a section from Narok town to Sekenani Gate that is a dirt road but fairly good; the other road through Lemek and Aitong town is very bad and very bumpy. The best time to see this incredible animal movement is during the wildebeest migration, which occurs from July to October. Although it is not guaranteed that the wildebeest will reach Maasai Mara, it has yet to disappoint us. December to February is also a great time to visit because it is dryer and conducive to seeing big cats.
