Sasaab lodge is situated on Westgate Community Conservancy west of Samburu National Reserve, Sasaab is anine room lodge with unparalleled views across the Ewaso Nyiro towards Mount Kenya, each of the rooms is over one hundred meters squared in the area, with a private plunge pool in which to cool off and enjoy views of the landscape and wildlife around the lodge. Sasaab lodge consists of 9 well spacious luxury cottages which reflects the local building style of the Moroccan and Swahili with modern comfort the rooms are well design sand fully furnished each room is 100km2 after a spacious open-air bathroom as well as a privates plunge pool with the private en-situ facilities like flushing toilets, hot and cold showers, satelites, flat view of the distant hills, the TVS, hair driers, air conditioning, private balconies and the sitting area where you relax while enjoying the stunning view of the distant hills and the Samburu National Reserve areas. The rooms of the Sasaab lodge are open-air rooms have spectacular views over the arid Samburu landscape and the river below the rooms have well equipped with excellent and comfortable clean beddings with kind of queen and the king beds, not only that, the lodge provides the fire places that provides warmth to visitors during night, the rooms are the under the categories of the single, double, twin and triple/family rooms and the rooms at the lodge costs USD 300 per night and above but the high season rate is different from the low season rate.
Sasaab enjoys a unique partnership with the local Samburu community living in Westgate conservancy, the lodge was built with the aim of creating a community tourism project that would help protect this stunning landscape and its wildlife for future generations by helping local communities to benefit directly from tourism, as such, it is possible to visit a local Samburu village and some of the many health and education projects it supports in the area, these experiences are completely authentic and are arranged with the village elders, that is many of the Sasaab lodge team come from nearby Samburu villages and are often keen to show guests their tradition way of life and introduce them to some of their family members.
