SARARA CAMP – SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK
Sarara camp is referred to as a mid – range accommodation found in Northern parts of Kenya lying in Namunyak wildlife conservancy covering the total area of 850000 acres of wilderness surrounded by Matthews range of mountain. The camp is situated at the edge of magnificent Samburu national park in Kenya. The camp is located in the spot base for quality leopard viewing in Africa; it also offers the beautiful views of Matthews’s range of mountains and animal watering hole to guests staying at the camp. One can be at camp from Nairobi City Center (gateway destination in Kenya) which takes approximately 3-4 hours drive and an 45 minutes flight to the close Namunyak airstrip then 25 minutes to be transferred to the camp .
Sarara camp consists of 6 comfortable and well pointed en-suite tents with solar heated outdoor showers with the stunning view of the Matthews range of mountain and waterhole that reflects African traditional building style with modern comfort. Each Tent is well decorated, elevated with raised platform and furnished with high standard private en- suite facilities of flushing toilets, hot and cold showers from heated solar, mosquito nets, free toiletries, complementary bottled water, white curtains, wooden chairs and tables and many other facilities. Each tent has sitting areas, verandas and wooden balconies with the view of the plunge pool, animal watering hole where you will be able to sport wide range of wildlife and surrounding areas. Tents are well equipped with comfortable and excellent queen sized beds with clean beddings. The camp offers singles, doubles, twins, triple/family rooming options with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above but during high/peak season rate goes slightly high than in low season . There is also fly camping for hiring especially the camping lovers.

Sarara camp offers more different services and facilities that includes;
A restaurant/dining area with the view of the park that serves delicious” four course meals’ both local and international cuisine to meets guests appetite prepared by skillful chef, welcoming and organized staff. The camp offers continental and buffet breakfast as you enjoy the morning sun rise , picnic lunch and diners ,You can be have meals in any place of your choice like in the veranda overlooking the plunge pool and the park dining area, or in the bush while enjoying the stars in the sky ( bush dinners and breakfast )
Bar ; A well-stocked bar with the view of the park with variety of refreshments both hard and soft like local ,cocktail , wines, spirits and international beers, you enjoy the sundowner while overlooking the great view of the park , waterhole where wide range of animals drink water from and surrounding areas, A plunge pool down the natural rock that cools off the hot afternoon , you relax and enjoy the breezes from the park .

Samburu national park is among the less known parks and smallest park found in the northern part near Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya in Samburu country .The park occupies the total area of 165square kilometers and 345 km from Nairobi. Samburu country is found in the former rift valley of Kenya. The park is the home of various animals over 200 mammals like; Giraffes, Buffaloes , Elephants , Big cats, leopards, lions , zebras Warthogs , olive baboons etc. and 390 species of birds which include; Sun birds , bee –eaters , sunbirds, Tawny Eagles , Grey headed kingfisher , Yellow-billed hornbill and many more birds.

Samburu are sub tribe of the masaai , they are Nilotic people of North –central Kenya. They are semi-nomadic pastoralists with herds of cattle, goat, sheep and camel.
