Sanctuary Tambarare Camp is a luxury accommodation owned and operated by Sanctuary Retreat that runs the best properties across Kenya and Tanzania. The camp is situated in Laikipia county, among the fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya with the the Ol-pejeta conservancy in Kenya region. The lodge is situated (215km) 3-4 hours’ drive away from Nairobi city and 50 minutes’ flight from Nairobi to the close Nanyuki airport. The lodge is in a private wildly luxury escape making it a convenient place for safari adventure for tourists and travelers who want to explore the conservancy overlooking the stunning view of the park and the surrounding areas.
Sanctuary Tambarare Camp consists of 10 spacious and luxury en suite tents with one private villa overlooking the stunning views of the park and Mount Kenya that reflect the African traditional building style with high comfort. The tents are well elevated on a raised platform decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities with flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, bathrobes, mosquito nets, comfortable beds with clean beddings, free toiletries, complimentary bottled water, white pillows and sheets, coffee making facilities and many more. The tents have verandas, terraces, and large sitting areas overlooking the stunning view of the wilderness and surrounding area. Ol-pejeta Conservancy is a private area found in central Kenya, Laikipia county north of Nanyuki town,on the equator west of Nanyuki Between the foot hills of Aberdares and mount Kenya covering the total area of 364 square kilometers with haven of wildlife since It’s the best place to see Rhinoes with the largest Black Rhino sanctuary, lions , cheetahs ,acacia woodlands, grassland found in Kenya country in the eastern side of the Great rift valley . Mount Kenya is the second tallest mountain in Africa. Ol pejeta conservancy was formed in eighties originally for cattle ranches, its gradually developed to protect mount Kenya, wildlife and surrounding environment. It contains large number of animal species which include; rhinos as mentioned above, lions , chimpanzees , leopards, elephants , black rhinos, elands to mention but few and over 160 bird species like eagles, African grass owl, waterbucks, long tailed window birds and many more others.
