Kenyan Citizens – are visitors who are residents and citizens of Kenya with valid national IDs or passports, this category also includes citizens of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Residents – are visitors of any other nationalities residing in Kenya with valid documentation which is issued by the Kenyan government.

Non – Residents – are international or foreign visitor who do not reside in Kenya and are not citizens of Kenya and East African community countries.

The above fees are applicable for 2022 and they are paid at Archer’s Gate which is the main gate.

 Visitors of Samburu national reserve, Buffalo Springs & Shaba national park are visitors who are staying at accommodation facilities (safari lodges and camps) which are situated inside these protected areas. These safari lodges and camps include Sasaab Lodge, Elephant Watch Camp, Samburu Game Lodge, Samburu Intrepids Luxury Tented Camp, Saruni Samburu Lodge, Larsens Camp, Lion King Safari Bush Camp, and Samburu Riverside Tented Camp. These accommodations are all accessed from Archer’s Gate.

CATEGORIES OF RATES

Resident rates – these rates are applicable to visitors who are residents of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. All resident tourists/visitors are required to present their National ID of their respective countries.

Note: Visitors without valid passports will be required to pay non-resident rates.

Child rates – these rates are applicable to visitors aged between 3 to 11 years old, visitors below the age of 3 are free of charge.

Student rates – these rates are applicable to visitors aged up to 23 years on a sponsored trip organized by a recognized learning institution and are in possession of valid student IDs. The students have to be on a pre arranged school-organized trip for purposes of research, to be eligible to the student rates students must obtain permission from the ticketing office.
