KUWINDA SAFARI TENTED CAMP – TSAVO NATIONAL PARK
Kuwinda safari tented camp is a mid- range accommodation situated on the banks of Galana River in Tsavo National Park Kenya region. The camp is set 10km from the entrance of Tsavo East National park and 2 hour’s drive from Malindi Town, 160 km From Mombasa. One can be at the lodge from Nairobi by road taking about 5-6 hours drive (326 km) then an hour and half to fly from Nairobi to the close voi airstrip then few minutes to be transferred to the lodge. The camp is convenient, business friendly and located in the perfect base overlooking the vast expanse of African bush and herds of animal roaming beneath the camp and stunning Galana River.
Kuwinda safari tented camp consists of 10 spacious and comfortable en-suite tents with the view of the Galana River built in African Traditional style with natural materials of grass thatched roof, local woods with modern comfort. Tents are well decorated with Timbers furnished with tranquility and en suite private facilities of flushing toilet, separate bathroom with hot and cold shower heated on fire, mosquito nets, satellites, free toiletries, free bottled water in the rooms , wooden chairs and tables to mention but a few . Tents have sitting areas, verandas and private balconies that give a stunning view over Galana River, wildlife roaming around the camp since its not fenced and surrounding areas.
Tents are well equipped with comfortable beds containing queen sized beds and wooden ceiling fans. The camp offers campfire pit that provide warmth to visitors during chilly weather as guests relax and share stories abou different safaris. Rooms are in different sizes with singles beds for individuals, doubles/ twins beds and triple /family rooming option designated for family travellers with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above. The room rate keeps changing as they go high during peak season than in low season.

A restaurant with the stunning view of the park serves different meals both international and African- inspired Cuisines that meets guest’s choice. Meals offered include; Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff. You can still have meals in Veranda/terraces overlooking the park or in a dining areas .they also serve bush diners overlooking the stars in the sky and bush breakfast as you enjoy the morning sunrises.
A well -stocked bar with a shared lounge with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks that winds up you evening while overlooking the stunning River Galana .

Tsavo national park is made of two separate parks located in Kenya Province between Nairobi city and Mombasa, The Park is considered to be among the largest parks in Kenya covering the total area of 22,000km squared. The two different parks in Tsavo national park include; Tsavo east national park which is the oldest and largest park in Kenya found in the semi-arid areas of Taru desert occupying the total area of 13,747 kilometers squared and Tsavo west national park also covers the total area of 9,065 kilometers squared. The Two park are most visited with different categories of accommodations; Budget, Mid- range and Luxury accommodation that are convenient and affordable to visitors visiting the park.
