KAREN BLIXEN CAMP – MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK
Karen Blixen Camp is a luxury accommodation found along Mara River in the Mara North Conservancy sitting on its Private Concession in the famous and wildlife- rich Masaai Mara national Park Kenya Region. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Mara north airstrip then 45 minutes’ drive to be transferred to the camp. The camp is in an ideal base and convenient for guests who want to explore and discover the park with the beautiful view of the Mara River and surrounding areas to thrill while on Kenya Wildlife Tours.
Karen Blixen Camp consists of 22 luxury and spacious tents overlooking the Mara River reflecting traditional building styles with local woods and Grass thatched roof. Each tent is well elevated with raised platform, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flushing toilets bathe room hot and cold showers, the River dressing tables, mosquito nets, Televisions, Deck chair, Wooden Tables, Free bottled water in the rooms, free toiletries and many others. Each tent has a sitting areas, Private verandas and vanity deck that give a breathtaking views over the Mara River, wildlife visiting the camp since its not fenced and surrounding areas. Tentss are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen sized beds. There are cracking fireplaces at the camp where guests relax and share more experience about the safaris not only that it also provides warmth to visitors during cold nights. The lodge offers tents suitable for family that consists of 2 inter-connecting rooms as well as individuals ie single bed, double beds, twin, and triple beds . They cost 300$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rate

Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .

The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
