ILKELIANI CAMP – MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

Ilkeliani camp is a mid- range  accommodation situated on the banks of Talek River (famous river crossings of the annual wildebeest migration ) in Masaai mara national park Kenya overlooking the Mara  savannah Plains and the wildlife beyond. The camp is an elegant oasis in the heart of the park and close to Talek gate.  The comp is affordable and located in the perfect place for tourists who want to explore and discover the park with exceptional views of the mara savannah plains, River and wildlife roaming around the camp. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close ol-kiombo airstrip then 25 minutes to be transferred to the camp

Ilkeliani Camp consists of 17 spacious and comfortable en suites tents with the sweeping view across Talek River onto the Mara savannah plains.   The camp offers king twin, doubles, individual beds (single) and family rooming options. The family suites consist of a living room between 2 bedrooms.   All tents reflect traditional building style with natural materials and comfort proximity.  Each tent is well raised with wooden platform ,decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, inside hot  water heated through solar water system and cold showers,  curtains, mosquito nets, Wooden chairs & Tables, complementary water , free toiletries ,  dressing mirrors , white duvets and pillows and many others.  Each tent has sitting areas, veranda and private balcony with a vintage view /watching down across the Mara Plain and surrounding areas.  There are cracking fireplaces at the camp where fire glows with comfortable chairs for guests to relax and share more experience about the safaris not only that it also provides warmth to visitors during bad weather. They cost 200$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rated.

Masaai  mara  national park is  among the largest and most  visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is  situated  270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai  are  initial and local  group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .
