Fig tree camp is a mid- range accommodation found on the banks of Talek River in the world’s famous Masaai Mara national Park( the home of the big five and wildebeest migration ) Kenya Region. The camp is situated just south of the main Road Lusaka hidden in African bush overlooking the breathtaking views across the Plain. You can be at the camp by road or air transport taking approximately 5-6 hours (250km) drive from Nairobi city center to Masaai mara national park and an hour to fly from Nairobi to the close Ol- kiombo airstrip then 50 minutes to be transferred to the camp. The camp is convenient and business friendly to tourists, travellers who want to explore the park with its beautiful view of Mara Savannah Plains, wildlife roaming around the camp since it’s not fenced and surrounding areas.
Fig tree camp consists of over 8 spacious and comfortable en-suite safari tents raised overlooking the wilderness reflecting traditional building safari styles with grass thatched roofs and local woods. Each tent is well elevated with a raised platforms, decorated and furnished with en-suite facilities of clean private flush toilets, safari style hot and cold showers, dressing tables, mosquito nets, Wooden chairs and Tables, free toiletries, Free bottled water in the tents and many others.
Each tent has sitting areas and Private verandas that give a better view over Mara Plains, Wildlife viewing since the camp is not fenced and surrounding areas. Tents are equipped with comfortable clean beddings containing queen and king sized beds. There is a campfire pit where fire glows with comfortable seats, guests relax and share stories about safaris, it also provides warmth to visitors during chill weather. The camp offers tents suitable for family as well as individuals with single bed, double beds, twin, and triple beds. They cost 200$ per night and above, during high season rate is always high than in low season rate.

They offer continental/buffet breakfast , picnic lunch and dinners (both in and outdoor dinners) served by well trained, friendly and organized staff ,they also serve bush diners overlooking the stars in the sky and bush breakfast as you enjoy the breezes

Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya know of its incredible density and variety of animals . it is situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border.
The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
