ENCOUNTER MARA CAMP – MASAAI MARA NATIONAL PARK KENYA
Encounter Mara Camp is referred to as a luxury accommodation ( 4 star) owned and managed by asilia Africa that run different and best accommodation in East Africa. Encounter Mara camp is found In Mara Naboisho conservancy (the Kenya’s famous Mara eco system) at the edge of the savannah Mara Plains under the shades of Acacia tree. The camp is set in the 50,000 acres of private landscape of Naboisho conservancy in Kenya. It takes approximately 4-5 hour drive from Nairobi and 50 minutes to fly from Nairobi city center to the close Mara Ol seki airstrip then 45 minutes to be transferred to the camp. The camp is convenient, business friendly and in a perfect base for travellers/ tourists who want to explore the park with its stunning views and wildlife roaming around the camp since it’s not fenced.
Encounter Mara Camp is comprised of 10 comfortable and spacious en-suite tents all with the view of the wilderness built in traditional local building style with Modern comfort. All tents are well decorated , elevated with raised platform and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries , complementary bottled water , slippers in the rooms , curtains , chairs and tables to mention but a few . All tents have sitting areas and verandas you relax while enjoying the spectacular view of Mara plains, wildlife especially zebras nearby saltlick and giraffe struts right past camp roaming around and surrounding area. Rooms are equipped with comfortable clean bedding containing king and queen sized beds with ceiling fans. There are campfires where fire glows with comfortable chair, guests relax as they share stories and experience about the safaris and it also provides warmth to visitors in chill weather. Tents cost 300$ and above depending on the seasons where the rate goes slightly during peak season than low season rate.

A restaurant in the main building that serves yummy meals both international and local meals that meets guests choice ; They offer buffet breakfast , picnic lunch and dines served by well trained, friendly and organized staff . You can have meals either in dining areas or in veranda depending in the place of your choice. The camp offers bush breakfast and dinner while enjoying stars in the skys.
A well -stocked bar with drinks both hard and soft (beers, sodas, juice, wines etc . you sip the drink of your choice while on camp fire overlooking the wilderness , animals that come around the camp especially elephants since it’s not fenced .

Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya, Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors . Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July, August and October .
The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
