DRUNKEN ELEPHANT MARA –MASAAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Drunken elephant Mara Lodge is a 3-star mid- range accommodation situated 5 minutes away from sekenani gate in the game- rich Masaai Mara national park Kenya. The camp is set on 7 acres of forested landscape along the River Front. The name of the camp came from love for elephants to eat Fruits that has fallen from Malula trees. It takes approximately four -five hour drive from Nairobi city to Masaai Mara National Park and an hour flight from Nairobi to the closest keekerok airstrip and few minutes to be transferred to the lodge The camp is convenient and business friendly to Travellers, tourists who want to discover and explore masaai mara national park with its stunning view of the river, wildlife and surrounding areas.
Drunken Elephant Maracamp is comprised of 7 comfortable and spacious en-suite tents of which 5 are double tents and 2 family tents containing 2 bedrooms for 4 people well designed with high level of comfort. Tents are well elevated, decorated and furnished with private en suite facilities of flushing toilets, bathrooms with hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, complementary bottled water , wooden chairs and tables and many More. Tents have private wooden balconies and large sitting areas overlooking the spectacular view of over the riverine, Mara Plains and surrounding area. Rooms are equipped with comfortable clean bedding containing king and queen sized beds. There is a campfire pit where guests relax and share stories/ experience about the safari da that provides warmth to visitors staying at. Rooms are in different sizes with single beds for individuals ,double/twin for couple or Two people and family options with different costs ranging from 200$ per night and above ( note that high season rate is different to low season rate.)

A restaurant in the main building with the view of the park serving different cuisines both international and African- inspired meals that meets guests choice. Meals offered include Continental breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner in the main building served by well trained, friendly and welcoming staff, you can have meals in any place of your choice either veranda overlooking the park or in the dining areas. Bush breakfasts are also offered while enjoying morning sunrises and bush dinners while overlooking the stars in the sky.
A-well stocked bar with variety of refreshment both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, you relax on balcony while siping the sundowner that winds up your evening overlooking the spectacular view of the park, river front and surrounding areas

Masaai mara national park is among the largest and most visited park in Kenya situated 270km north of Nairobi in Kenya occupying the total area of 1,510 km squared . There are many over 1 million tribes in Kenya ,Masaai are initial and local group of semi –Nomadic people that settled in Kenya and the northern part of Tanzania. Maasai Mara National park is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. The park contains over a million of animals that include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos and 600 species of bird and 60 species of raptors in different colors . Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration from Serengeti national park during July ,August and October .The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek river.
