Accommodations in Maasai Mara National Reserve : A safari lodge, also called a game lodge, is a type of accommodation that can be found throughout eastern and southern Africa. Most visitors on wildlife safaris use lodges, which are often located in or near national parks or game reserves.

Masai Mara Sopa Lodge
This lodge is standing atop the Ololaimutiek Hills, it provides sweeping views over the Maasai Mara National Reserve’s eastern border. The Maasai-style guest rooms and communal areas of the resort are housed in traditional round huts with thatched roofs. The lodge has en suite bathrooms, there are 88 double rooms and 12 suites. Each Kenya safari lodging has a view-oriented veranda, two queen-sized beds, and window coverings made of mosquito nets. The resort has electricity all the time thanks to generators. Kenya safari activities include nightly feeding of the animals, game drives, game walks, and cultural visits to nearby Maasai settlements. At an extra cost, balloon safaris can be arranged here. Mara Simba Lodge
The Mara Simba Lodge offers a breath-taking view of the Talek River’s bend. The lodge’s grounds extend alongside the river, and amid the natural trees that are used to create the lovely gardens are a variety of birds and butterflies. The resort was designed to blend in with its surroundings and has traditional Maasai décor. There are 84 en suite rooms total, six rooms each stone banda. They consist of sixty twins, twelve doubles, four doubles and one single, and eight triples. Each accommodation has a balcony with a view of the river. The common area has thatched roofs and floors constructed of cedar wood decking set on timber poles, with a view of the Talek River. The dining area and bar include stone fireplaces, and the terrace with floodlights is a great place to watch at night.
A sewage treatment system that supplies water for gardening is one of Mara Simba Lodge’s eco-friendly features. Other activities include game drives and game walks, sundowners and bush dinners, and a gift shop with souvenirs, picture, and personal products. The resort’s naturalist hosts picture displays, lectures on Maasai culture, and conversations about the wildlife and environment of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Keekorok Lodge
Keekorok, which was constructed in 1962, is situated on an 80-acre tract of ground with perennial springs and verdant grasslands all around. In the centre of the well-known Maasai Mara National Reserve sits Keekorok, one of the first lodges built there. The lodge has en suite baths in each of its 89 double rooms, 8 superior rooms, and 4 suites. There are stone cottages with private balconies for visitors. Although some of the rooms front a large garden, the majority have views of the reserve. The lodge underwent a total makeover in 2006. The restaurant serves a variety of traditional African, Asian, and Western dishes and has a view of well-kept lawns and a rock garden. In recognition of the restaurant’s long history, pictures of Keekorok’s famous patrons can be found in the Discovery Bar.
Drinks are available at the pool bar all day long. The Hippo Pool Bar and the lodge are connected by a one-kilometer wooden path. It looks out over a waterhole where about twenty hippos call home. Online or in-person reservations are accepted for game drives at the lodge. They leave the lodge around 6.30 am, 9.30 am, and 4.30 pm. Birding safaris start 10 a.m. every day. During the evening entertainment, Maasai dancing and animal video are featured prominently. The meeting room has up to 100 chairs. Keekorok Lodge is the proud recipient of the bronze award for Ecotourism Kenya.
Mara Serena Safari Lodge
This safari lodge is situated atop a hill’s saddle, Mara Serena Safari Lodge provides an amazing Kenya safari perspective of the broad plains, forests, and rivers of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. In order to replicate a Maasai village or boma, the resort is arranged around a circular grove of brushwood. Like a Maasai manyatta, each guest chamber is located in a distinct domed structure. The furnishings of the lodge evoke the feeling of a traditional bush campsite, combining native Maasai art with contemporary Serena touches. The lodge has fifty-three twin rooms, eight connecting rooms, twenty king-size double rooms, and one presidential suite. Each room features an en suite bathroom, a separate balcony with views of the plains, and colourful interior décor with African influences that evoke Maasai art.
Royal Mara Safari Lodge
Royal Mara Safari Lodge is set beside the banks of the Mara River in the Mara North Conservancy. The lodge has all the conveniences of a resort combined with the aesthetic of a traditional tented camp. The eight en suite tents are set on raised mahogany platforms and each has an own veranda with a view of the river. In addition to hand-carved solid wood furniture, including a four-poster bed, they have an electronic safety deposit box, a minibar, and other amenities. Dinner may be served in private on the veranda of the guests, outside by a hippo pool, on the open savannah, or in the forest under the stars. Utilising only the freshest vegetables from Kenya, each meal is created from scratch in a professional kitchen. The daily itinerary is modified to suit the demands of the guests. Cultural visits to Maasai villages, daytime and night time game drives, and game walks are among the attractions.
The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is very concerned about the ecology. All waste that is not biodegradable is transported to a site for city collection. Trash disposal methods, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and landscaping all make use of environmentally friendly materials.
