9 days Wildebeest migration safari is a combined Kenya and Tanzania safari and a wildebeest migration safari providing tourists an opportunity to witness the Great Wildebeest migration, the migration is the largest migration of wildlife in the world often referred to as “the Wildlife Cup”. The Great wildebeest migration involves the migration of over 2 millions of wildebeests and thousands of zebras and gazelles in the Serengeti – Mara Ecosystem.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 9 DAYS WILDEBEEST MIGRATION SAFARI
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Upon arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative, he will help you with your luggage and then transfer to the hotel where you will spend overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to the Masai Mara Reserve
After breakfast you will checkout and transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve, the most spectacular wildlife safari destination in Kenya famously known for the great Wildebeest migration, the big Five and abundance of wildlife. Maasai Mara national reserve is an expanse of open grassland covering an area of 1,510 square kilometers located in the South-West corner of Kenya, on arrival you will have lunch after checking into your lodge and then gofor an afternoon game drive then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
The wildebeest migrations is present in Maasai Mara Ecosystem in August and September.

Day 3 and 4: Explore the Masai Mara
Each morning you will rise at dawn with a cup of tea and coffee and have an early morning game drive, the game drive is perfect for spotting early rising predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs as they return from hunting. There is an optional to enjoy a hot air balloon safari which gives you an opportunity to float across the savannah plains and get spectacular aerial views of the endless plains, several species of animals and large herds of the migration.
You will then return to the lodge breakfast and rest for a while as you wait for lunch, then return to the park for another game drive (afternoon game drive). Return to your lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 5: Drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti
Have early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and leave for Tanzania, after finishing the customs and immigration procedure you will be met by our counterparts from Tanzania side and drive into Serengeti Game Reserve. You will have en-route lunch and game drive. You will reach your lodge at around 18:00 hours, check in and rest as you wait for your dinner and stay overnight.

Day 6: Safaris in Serengeti
You are to spend the full day in Serengeti national park exploring the park, enjoying views of the abundance of wildlife roaming in the endless plains of the park and follow the columns of the great migration.
Serengeti national park is a famous wildlife national park in Tanzania found in the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, the park covers an area of about 14763 square kilometers comprising of various vegetation including grassy plains, savannah acacia lands, wooden hills and mountains creating an extra ordinary backdrop.
The park experiences the Great Wildebeest migration with around 2 million of wildebeests and hundred thousands of zebras and gazelles which you will enjoy encountering during the game drives. You will also spot other animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, wild dogs, cheetahs, and various species of birds. Return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Area
After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti national park heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, a site where a couple – Louis and Mary Leakey discovered archeological remains. These remains are some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. You will continue driving to Karatu area arriving in early evening, check into your lodge and stay overnight.

Day 8: Full Day Tour of Ngorongoro Crater
Have breakfast and then descend to the crater floor (Ngorongoro Crater) for a full day crater tour, during the day’s tour, you will be able to explore the forest areas that is inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area where you will see millions of pink flamingoes and the open savannah grasslands inhabited by lions, leopards, hippos, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras among others. You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive. in the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Arusha
Have breakfast, checkout and start on a journey to Arusha. When you arrive in Arusha town, you will have lunch and then be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
