Detailed itinerary of 9 days Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania safari
Day 1: arrival in Uganda
On your arrival in Uganda you will be warmly welcomed by the representative of Focus East Africa Tours and after a short safari briefing you will transfer to your hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
To start off your safari, you will be picked from your Hotel in Kampala by representative of Focus East Africa Tours, your driver guide and set off on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park a home for the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas. From Kampala to Bwindi, it is a drive of about 8-9 hours, along the way you will have a stopover at the equator for pictures and another stopover in Mbarara for lunch and proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: gorilla trekking
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about mountain gorilla trekking, during the briefing you will taken through the rules and regulations to follow during the trekking and while in the presence of mountain gorillas. You will also be grouped in to 8 people, be assigned a gorilla group to trek and with the help of a ranger you will trek into the forest of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes about 4-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where the spent the previous night and one hour of being in presence of gorillas observing their behaviour, as they play on tree and take care of their young ones. After one hour, you will trek back to the park’s headquarters where you will meet your driver – guide and either head back to your lodge or go for a visit to the local community.

Day 4: transfer back to Kampala
Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and drive back to Kampala with a lunch stopover in Mbarara, you will arrive in Kampala in the evening, check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: fly to Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will checkout of your hotel and be driven to Entebbe International airport for your domestic flight to Maasai national reserve, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Focus East Africa Tours and head to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will head to the endless plains of Masai Mara for a game drive spotting various animals such as lions, leopards, gazelles, cheetahs, antelopes, wildebeests among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day -6: full day game drive
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the plains of Masai Mara for a full day game drive with your packed lunch, you will explore the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives. During the game drives you will be able to see many animals such as elephants, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, cheetah, Masai giraffe, hippo, zebras, Aardwolf among others. In the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: transfer to Serengeti national park
Wake up early for breakfast, exit the reserve with an en-route game drive and head to Serengeti national park crossing at Isebania border, at the border you will clear with the authorities and cross over to Tanzania’s border side where you will meet your safari driver guide and drive to Serengeti national park arriving in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 8: full day in Serengeti national park
After breakfast you will head to the park for a full day game drive with your packed lunch, while in the park you will have an opportunity to explore the savannah plains of the park to the fullest and spot various animals such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, Masai giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, baboons, crocodiles, spotted hyenas and rhinos among others. You will have wither picnic lunch or drive back to the lodge and the return for another game drive exploring the park more. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: transfer to Arusha
