Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Best of Tanzania Safari + Zanzibar Beach Holiday
Day 1: Pick up, transfer to Lake Manyara national Park Game Drive and Walking Safari
Drive Time: 1-1.5 Hours
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and welcome you for the safari and after short briefing, you will start your journey to Lake Manyara national park. You will enjoy an amazing introduction to the Tanzania wildlife with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After your picnic lunch, embark on a guided nature walk and get closer to the natural surroundings in the park and also enjoy the beautiful views around.
After the nature walk you will be driven to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive
Drive Time: Approx. 4 Hours
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your transfer to Serengeti National Park.
After having lunch, you will engage in a late afternoon game drive as you search for wildlife species in the savannah plains such as the big five like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and also enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the kopjes where lions can be seen as they watch their prey. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and your guide will drive you on a morning game viewing experience around the central part of Serengeti national park where you will search for wildlife species like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes , cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, kudu, rhinos others among.
After having your picnic lunch enjoyed in the wilderness, you will engage in an afternoon game drive around Serengeti national park as you look out for wildlife species and later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Drive Time: Approx. 3 hours
After breakfast at the camp, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With your packed lunch you will descend the 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater for amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery, including the big 5 Ngorongoro animals.
You will look out for a variety of wildlife species which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants as well as predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopard. After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Cultural Tour in Mto wa Mbu, Tarangire National Park Game Drive and Fly to Zanzibar
Have your early breakfast at the lodge and with your lunch boxes, drive to Tarangire National Park. En-route, you will enjoy a Mto wa Mbu cultural tour where you will interact with different tribes of Tanzania. Visit the market for some shopping if interested in souvenir shopping.
Thereafter, proceed to the park for an amazing half day wild game viewing experience before the sunrise. Look out for other animals in the park like zebras, giraffes, lions, large herds of elephants which the park is famous for, and so much more.
Enjoy lunch in the wilderness, and another game viewing opportunity as you leave the park driving back and dropping you at the JRO arriving in time for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you shall be transferred to your hotel of stay. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Nungwi Dreams by Mantis.

Day 6: Prison Island, Spice Tour and Stone Town
Have breakfast at your hotel and after this you will start your day’s activities.
You shall have a Stone town tour and explore the alleyways of the town as you get to know about the history of Zanzibar and its different cultures. You will take a private boat from Stone town to Changuu Island or Prison Island where you will enjoy seeing the Giant tortoises and during your tour of the island you will also enjoy snorkeling. You will take a boat back from Changuu Island back to Stone town.
On this day you will also engage in a spice tour as you explore the plantations where you will see different exotic spices and also get to know the uses of the spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg among others. After the spice tour, you will return to your hotel, relax and spend the night. Meals and accommodation as above.
