DETAILED ITINERARY OF 7 DAYS ZANZIBAR HONEYMOONHOLIDAY
DAY 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
On arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to Zanzibar Stone Town – the old city of the island and a cultural heart of Zanzibar. In this historical city, very little has changed in the last 200 years. The city features winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses who original owners have vied with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings.
Check in at your hotel/resort and spend the rest of the day relaxing.

DAY 2: Stone Town Tour & Boat Trip to Changuu Island
After breakfast, you will head to the Stone Town for a tour in the most scenic parts of the Old Town visiting the former site of the slave market, the cathedral – Cathedral Church of Christ built in 1874, the Sultan’s Palace – Palace Museum, House of Wonders and Arab Fort and natural museum where you will have fun time exploring these historical monuments.
You will also visit the bustling market in Zanzibar, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors.
The Stone Town as recently declared a UNESCO Site and is now a protected area in Zanzibar.
In the afternoon, you will proceed to the wharf to catch a local boat to visit Changuu Island also known as Prison Island. The Prison Island is a little charming island located about 15 kilometers off to Zanzibar’s Stone Town and about a half hour’s boat ride from Stone Town. The island used to be a private place of detention for recalcitrant slaves, the island hosts the giant Aldabra tortoises and beautiful peacocks which are breeding on the island.
You can stretch out and relax on the white sandy beach or snorkel, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: Jozani Forest & Cultural Visit
After breakfast, you will head to the Southern part of Zanzibar Island for a tour starting at Jozani Forest – one of the last remaining sanctuaries in the world of the red colobus monkeys. You will get great photo opportunities and enjoy sightings of these rare creatures as you walk in the pathways, this fascinating experience takes two hours or more to explore the forest.
Then head to Jambian Village where you will visit the local people and watch them carry out different professions, your guide will tell you about the history of the village, visit the local herbalist who will show you different local medicines, herbs and their uses.
Visit the local organic plantation on cora stone where farmers cultivate under difficult circumstances and where seaweed farms are run by women, this offers you a good chance to learn about the unique culture and the diverse environment of the villages and also meet the Swahili people. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: Spice Tour & Pwani Mchangani Beach
After breakfast, head to Kizimbani Village for a spice tour, the Spice Island has over forty of the most valuable tropical aromantic plants that were introduced on the island over the last two centuries by the Oman Arabs, these spices are grown in the spice grades in the hills north of the Stone Town. Your knowledgeable guide will take you point out different spices along the tour.
You will see tropical fruits such as jack fruits, bread fruits, karambola, pineapple, lychees among others.
You will also checkout various plants such as henna bush, perfume tree, lipstick tree and spices such as cardamon, cinnamon, clove, black pepper, nutmeg and many others. After the spice tour, you will drive to the top North East of Zanzibar Island – Pwani Mchangani Beach, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
