DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara
To start off your 4 days Tanzania wildebeest migration safari, you will be picked from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast by your safari driver –guide. After a short safari briefing you will embark on a journey to Lake Manyara national park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge and after lunch you will head out to the savannah plains of Lake Manyara national park for an afternoon game drive spotting animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, gazelles, zebras, antelopes among others.
Lake Manyara national park is one of the most dramatically located wildlife areas in Tanzania consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake which covers two-thirds of the park, the park is situated at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s Western Escarpments and it hosts a wide variety of animals including the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, the unique tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingoes attracted to the lake by the algae. After the game drive, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti
Have breakfast and head to the Lake Manyara plains for a morning game drive then exit the park and head to Serengeti national park, on your way you will drive through the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We descend into Serengeti national park with its endless plains, the heart of wild Africa and head to the central area known as Seronera area – one of the richest wildlife habitats in park. Seronera Area has the Seronera River which is a permanent water source, the river attracts an abundance of wildlife and is a great site to visit during game viewing experience.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge then go for an afternoon game drive in the plains of Serengeti national park, then return for dinner and overnight in the Seronera area.
Day 3: Wildebeest Migration Experience in Serengeti
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and head to park for a full day game drive as you follow the migrating herds, you will begin with a morning game drive with an optional tour in the hot air balloon which gives you an opportunity to front above the endless plains of Serengeti and watch the large migrating herds as they are followed by predators such as lions, leopards, wild African dogs among others. You will have picnic lunch and in the afternoon you will continue tracking the migrating wildebeests as they are crossing the river or disperse in the plains rich in green grass and very little scattered trees. In the evening you will return to your camp for hot shower, have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: Serengeti-Ngorongoro Crater-Arusha
After a leisurely breakfast, you will checkout of your camp and be transferred to Ngorongoro crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro crater is the largest intact crater in the world and is a host to several wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, rhinos among others. Later in the evening you will be driven back to Arusha for a drop off either at the hotel of your choice or at the airport.
