Detailed itinerary of 4 days Selous safari (boat, game drive and walking safari)
Day 1: arrival and transfer to Selous game reserve
Upon you arrive in Tanzania’s Arusha city using Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be picked up by your safari guide-driver and set off on a drive of 6 hours to Selous game reserve. On your way to the reserve you will have lunch arriving in the reserve in late, on your arrival you will check into your lodge then head to reserve for an evening boat ride on Rufji River. On the boat ride you will watch many animals such as hippos, crocodiles in the water of the river and elephants, zebras, buffaloes and many birds on the banks of the river. After the boat ride you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: full day game drive in Selous game reserve
Wake up early for breakfast then leave the camp with packed lunch heading to the reserve for a full day of game drive, while exploring the park expect to see large numbers of animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, and many birds such as green-capped eremomela, pearl spotted owl and many more living in the wetlands, dry grasslands and light acacia forests dominating the park’s landscape.
In the afternoon you will have picnic lunch set at one of the picnic sites in the reserve then proceed with another game drive experience, in the evening you will head back to your camp, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: morning game drive and walking safari
Have morning breakfast then drive to the reserve for a game drive offering a great chance to see many animals such as lions, elephants, African hunting dogs, buffaloes and many more, later return to your camp for lunch. After lunch you will head back to the reserve for a walking safari experience in Selous forests, as you walk through the beautiful Selous forests you will enjoy seeing elephants, various species of birds such as wattle eyed fly catchers, red throated twinspot, decken’s hornbills and different tree species. After the experience you will head back to your camp, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day4: departure
Have breakfast then checkout of your camp and with your packed lunch you will go for en-route game drive heading back to Arusha arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
