Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Maasai Mara Wildlife & cultural safari

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Maasai Mara

On your arrival in Nairobi at Jomo Kenyatta International airport , you will be picked up by your safari driver/guide and after a short safari briefing about 4 Days Maasai Mara Wildlife & cultural safari you will head to a drive to Maasai Mara national reserve.

Maasai Mara national reserve is a popular Kenya safari destination popular for excellent Kenya game viewing experiences, reaching the park you drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley and on your way you can have a stopover for scenery viewing and photography experiences at the Escarpment viewpoint. Another stopover will be in the Narok Town where you will enjoy interacting with the local Maasai people, have lunch and get to purchase locally made craft pieces the proceed to Maasai Mara national reserve.

On the arrival you will go straight for an evening game drive which is a rewarding game viewing experience on which you will spot predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs as they try to hunt in the dark times of the night with a help of a spot light.  In the evening you will head back to your lodge, check in and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full day game drive in Maasai Mara
wake up early in morning before dawn and head to the plains of Maasai Mara for an early morning game drive, on this experience you will enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the rolling plains of the reserve and watch many animals in large numbers such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras and many more as they are just waking up.

After the game drive you will head back to your lodge for late breakfast and then lounge around your lodge as you wait for lunch and prepare for another game drive, on the afternoon game drive you will explore other regions of the reserve and spot more animals. The highlight of the game drive will be visiting the Mara River where you will see many Nile crocodiles and hippos playing in the water pool on the banks of the river. In the evening you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara / Cultural Experience in Masai Loita Hills

After breakfast you will head to the plains of the reserve for the final morning game drive sighting more animals, after the game drive you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will head to the Maasai village/Masai Loita Hills for a cultural experience. On this experience you will enjoy getting a deeper insight about the Maasai culture by interacting with the local Maasai people, be entertained by local dances, drama and Maasai warriors, buy local Maasai items such as local Maasai Shukas, beautifully made accessories such as necklaces and earrings and taste local cuisines.

After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: transfer back to Nairobi with a stopover in Narok

After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Nairobi and on your way you will have another stopover in Narok Town to enjoy more of the Maasai culture and the local people. Then you will proceed back to Nairobi, in Nairobi you will be dropped off either at hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
