Detailed itinerary of 4 days Maasai Mara Wildlife and hot air balloon safari
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Maasai Mara
On the first day of your 4 days Maasai Mara wildlife and hot air balloon safari you will be met by your safari guide/driver upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, during your pick-up your driver will brief you about the safari then embark on a journey to Maasai Mara national reserve.
On your way you will have a stopover in Narok town where you will meet, interact the Maasai local people, in the Narok Town you will learn more about their cultures, listen to folk stories, buy traditional craft pieces and be entertained by traditional performances. Then you will head to Maasai Mara national reserve arriving in the evening.
On your arrive, you will check into your lodge and rest as you wait to head out for an evening game drive on which you will search for various wildlife species inhabiting in the reserve such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos. Other wildlife species include zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, antelopes, cheetahs, hyenas and many others. You will then return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
After enjoying your early morning breakfast served at your lodge, you will head to Maasai Mara national reserve for a full day of exploring various regions of the reserve on a game drive together with your packed lunch. While driving through the reserve’s plains you will enjoy watching various animal species such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, wildebeests, hartebeest among others and many birds species such as Common Ostrich, Little Grebe, Pelicans, cormorants, darter, Herons, egrets, bitterns, Hammerkops, shoebill among others. Full day game drives give you ample time to learn more about the wildlife’s behaviors and enjoy the scenic views of the reserve, your lunch is set on one of the picnic sites. In evening you will end back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Hot air balloon safari and game drive
You will wake up early in morning as early as 06:00 am for a cup Kenya coffee then drive to the hot air balloon take off point, you will be amazed watching the balloons being inflated. Before the start of the experience, you will be briefed about the experience then climb into the basket of the balloon. Hot air balloon flight lasts for approximately 1 hour giving you ample time and opportunities to enjoy the sun rise, photography and video filming and watching many animals such as lions, elephants, the wildebeest migration and others.
At the end of the hot air balloon flight you are treated to a champagne breakfast accompanied by freshly prepared dishes, after the breakfast you will return to your lodge for resting as you wait for lunch. In the evening you can decide to lounge around your lodge or opt for nature walk experience in the rolling plains of Masai Mara national reserve. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Return to Nairobi
After morning breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and with en-route game drive you will exit Maasai Mara national reserve proceeding to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport.
