Day 1: Transfer to Goma Congo
Airport pick up and transfer to Goma: On the very 1st day of your 3 days Congo gorilla trekking safari tour, upon landing at the airport either at Kigali international airport or Goma airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will brief you about your 3 days gorilla trekking adventure in Virunga national park as you head on a drive to your reserved lodge for a relaxed evening and overnight at Mikeno lodge (Luxury) / Bukima Tented camp (Budget) / Kibumba Camp (Midrange).
Note: In case you are crossing from Kigali to Congo, you will need to re-apply for a Rwanda visa at the border such that as you return from Congo, your visa will be ready. This is because once you cross from Rwanda into Congo, your Rwanda visa expires and you will require a new visa to step back into Rwanda.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Virunga national park
Congo mountain gorilla trekking: After breakfast at your lodge on day of 3 days Congo gorilla trekking safari tour, you will transferred to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking and allocation of gorilla family. For clients who are staying at Bukima tented Camp, they are on an added advantage since gorilla trekking in Virunga national park is conducted along Bukima trail thus they can wake up abit late as they don’t require to drive to the briefing ground like other clients that reside at Mikeno and Kibumba. Being the oldest park in Africa, Virunga national park is one of those parks you need to explore for your gorilla trekking adventure and the park as well offers cheaper gorilla permits as compared to the permits for the same trek in Uganda and Rwanda. You will walk along the trail searching for these endangered primates in their natural habitats. The walk will take you about 2-5 hours depending on the movement of gorillas and the speed of trekkers considering the least person in the group. Upon finding these gorillas, you will spend only 1 hour with them closely interacting with them and taking photographs then exit their habitats back to your lodge for dinner and night rest as above.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali for departure
Return to Kigali: This the last day of your 3 days Congo gorilla trekking safari tour thus arise in the morning for breakfast after which you will join the convoy for a transfer back to the boarder where you will cross over into Rwanda and be driven to Kigali city for hotel or airport drop off. Note: You may as well fly out of Congo direct from Goma airport if possible.
