Day 1: Transfer to Akagera national park – boat trip on Lake Ihema
After breakfast at your hotel in Rwanda, you will leave for Akagera national park or you will be picked from Kigali international airport upon arrival and transfer to the park. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and on arrival in the park, you will proceed to your lodge with a game drive for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a boat trip on Lake Ihema where you will watch a number of animals including hippos, crocodiles and several animals in the water. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive in Akagera national park
Have early morning breakfast and go for a morning game drive in the northern section of the park for sights of the early morning risers returning from their hunt. At this time of the day, the animals are returning back to their dens from hunting, you will also be to see other animals such as bushbucks, lions, giraffes, antelopes and zebras.
Return to your lodge for lunch and rest for a while, in the afternoon you will proceed with exploring the park and spotting more animals. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Return to Kigali
Enjoy breakfast and drive back to Kigali city, the land of a thousand hills and the cleanest city in Africa, in Kigali you will visit the Kigali Genocide memorial center where you will get information on the genesis of the horrific genocide, visit the National Museum and other eye-catching sites within the city. Have lunch and later be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
