Day 1: Arrive in Rwanda, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arriving in Rwanda at Kigali International Airport you will be picked up by our representative (your personal experienced Rwanda Safari Driver-Guide). You shall be briefed about the details of your 3 Days Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda Safari, and then proceed to transfer you to Volcanoes National Park only about 80kms from Kigali City.

Volcanoes National Park is about 2 hours only of road drive from Kigali, through scenic areas including the rolling hills of Rwanda and vast tea and coffee plantation you shall pass by. Depending on your arrival time in Kigali, you may have a Kigali City Tour seeing the National Museum, the Genocide Memorial Centre, among others, and then have lunch before proceeding for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Visit Twin lakes/ Community walk

On the 2nd day of your 3 Days Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda Safari, you shall wake up to an early breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters by 8 am for briefing session by park officials. After, you shall be allocated a gorilla family to trek, in groups of 8. You shall then proceed for a gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park adventure. It can take you anything from 30 minutes to 6 hours of gorilla trekking in Rwanda, depending on the location of the gorilla family and the terrain. Once you do encounter the gorillas of Rwanda, you shall spend 1 hour with the gorillas in Rwanda, watching them play, protect each other, feed, groom each other among so many other activities you may find them doing, including feeding.

After gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, you shall head back to the lodge from where you shall have a sumptuous lunch and opt for a visit of the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo or alternatively take a relaxing community walk and watch traditional Kinyarwanda dance performances by the locals. You could also choose to simply laze the rest of the afternoon with a good glass of wine, soothing music on the balconies of your lodge of stay with scenic views, or even read a book. Dinner shall be served at the lodge.
