2 days Lake Mburo safari is a short Uganda wildlife safari package taking you to one of the smallest national parks in Uganda situated in western region of Uganda approximately 240 kilometers west of Kampala. Lake Mburo national park is a home to over 68 mammal species calling the park a home and these include leopards, zebras, buffaloes, leopards, bush pigs and many more.
Lake Mburo national park has some of the splendid sceneries in Uganda with a landscape dotted with rolling hills, savannah grasslands, seasonal swamps and lakes, the park has 5 lakes perfect for sport fishing and boat ride activities.

Detailed itinerary of 2 days Lake Mburo safari
Day 1: Depart for Lake Mburo national park and have a boat ride
Have morning breakfast at your hotel in Kampala then be picked by your safari driver-guide and after a short session of briefing about safari you will begin your safari. Set off on a drive about 3 hours heading to Lake Mburo national park in western Uganda driving through Lyantonde and Masaka with a stopover at Mpambire drum maker’s village where you will witness the making of drums by the locals.
You are to arrive in the park in time for lunch which you will have after checking into your lodge then proceed to the park a boat cruise, as you drive through the savannah plains heading to Lake Muro you will spot a number of animals such as zebras, elands, antelopes and many more. On the boat ride you will enjoy the cooling breeze of the lake and spot a animals like fish eagles, hippos, topis and birds like shoe bill, fish eagles and many more. Later return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala
Have early morning breakfast then head to the park for a game drive in the savannah plains of the park, on the game drive you will get a glimpse of the 5 lakes found in the park and spot animals such as antelopes, hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, topis and many more.
Then exit the park and set off on a journey back to Kampala with a stopover in Masaka for lunch and at the equator monument for pictures. In Kampala you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
