Detailed itinerary of 12 Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival, optional Chemka Hotsprings
Your guide will pick you up from the airport upon your arrival. He will welcome you to Tanzania, and have a short briefing about the safari. You shall proceed to drive to your hotel, check in relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay. Depending on your time of arrival, you shall enjoy a Chemka Hotsprings visit .

Day 2: Kilimanjaro Day Hike
After breakfast at the hotel you shall head out for a day visit on the Kilimanjaro area and embarking on one of 6 hour ascent and descent of the Kilimanjaro Mountain which is the highest mountain in Africa. Enjoy amazing views of the area and the mountain. Return to the foothills and then proceed to Arusha, check in at the hotel, relax and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Drive to Tarangire National Park, Game Drive
After having breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you will be driven to Tarangire national park which is also found in the northern part of Tanzania. Tarangire national park is known for having large herds of elephants as well as ancient baobab trees.
You will have lunch and also engage in an afternoon game drive around Tarangire national park. During your game drive in the national park, you will search for wildlife species such as gazelles, impalas, zebras, waterbucks among others as well as the various bird species which this national park is known for. You will enjoy watching the sunset in the wilderness of the national park and your guide will drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Full Day in Tarangire National Park with a Guided Walking Safari
After your breakfast at the lodge, you shall enjoy a full day in Tarangire National Park. Look out for various wildlife in the park, including giraffes, zebras, large herds of elephants, among so much more. Enjoy your lunch box over a picnic, and another game drive as you leave the park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge as above.
Day 5: Drive to Serengeti National Park, Game Drive
After breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park which is also located in the northern part of Tanzania. You will enjoy searching wildlife species such as the big 5 (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos) during your safari in the national park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Full Day Serengeti with Hot Air Balloon
Wake up to an early morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti Plains and enjoying so much including one of the most beautiful sunrises you will ever see. Have a bush breakfast experience, meet your safari guide for more wild game viewing with your packed lunch for a full day Serengeti National Park safari experience. Engage in a morning game drive around Serengeti national park and look out for the elephant herds in the savannah plains as well as other wildlife species including lion prides. You will have lunch ahead of another wildlife experience in the national park.
Later in the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Full day in Serengeti National Park
You will start your day with breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park as you prepare for your morning game drive. You will also enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife species which are very active during the morning and can be seen grazing around the national park.
After your morning game drive, you will have lunch and later engage in another game drive and enjoy looking out for wildlife species grazing in the open savannah of Serengeti national park like elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, impalas, gazelles, buffalos, elands, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos among others. You will have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro with en-route Olduvai Gorge Stop, Crater Rim Walk
Drive Time: 145km, Approx. 3.5 hours.
After breakfast at your lodge in Serengeti national park, you will check out of your lodge and proceed for an en route game drive on your way to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have a visit to Ol duvai gorge which is an archaeological site where evidence of early man relating to human evolution was discovered by Dr. Mary and Louis Leakey. Enjoy lunch en-route and game viewing as you drive to your lodge. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Hhando Coffee Lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Maasai Bomas Visit
Your will enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and with a packed lunch which will be enjoyed in the crater, descend to the Ngorongoro crater to see different attractions such as Lake Magadi which is found at the center of the crater. As you explore the Ngorongoro crater, you will also see flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi in big numbers as well as other bird species. You will also see wildlife species in the crater area such as elephants, buffalos, rhinos, zebras, waterbucks, antelopes, hyenas, gazelles, kudus, predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs.
The Ngorongoro Crater is known to host all the big 5 animals, look out for them while on a game drive in the largest caldera in the world. You will also enjoy beautiful views of the scenery around you as you explore the Ngorongoro conservation area.
After your picnic lunch, enjoy a Maasai Bomas visit for an opportunity to visit and interact with the local Maasai people that still live amongst the wildlife!

Day 10: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, Walking Safari
After having breakfast at your lodge, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara national park which is home to the tree climbing lions and also elephants and other wildlife species.
You will also engage in a game drive and explore Lake Manyara national park, and enjoy seeing the diverse scenery of the national park. You will also look out for different wildlife species around the national park such as antelopes, gazelles, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks, monkeys, baboons among others as well as different bird species.
After your game drive, enjoy lunch, and later on get to embark on one of the most amazing activities, a guided walking safari. A walking safari in Lake Manyara brings you up-close with nature and wild life including zebras, antelopes, giraffes, among so many others. The walking safari is guided by park officials who are conversant with the park.
Return to the lodge thereafter, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.
