This 10 Days Rwanda wildlife safari you will discover the best of Rwanda attractions. The Rwanda safari package actively engages you in different activities such gorilla trekking, Golden monkey tracking, chimpanzee tracking and many more. You will be able to visit Rwanda national parks such as Volcanoes National Park, Nyungwe Forest National Park plus you will also get a chance to do a city tour in Kigali.
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali / Kigali City tour
On the 1st day, arrive at Kigali Airport where you will be received by our guide. He will take you for a Kigali City tour where you visit places like Kigali genocide memorial sites, markets as you interact with the indigenous and very hospitable Rwandan people. You will be later transferred to your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe forest via Butare
On the 2nd day of your safari wake early morning, you will be served with breakfast, and later meet your guide where he will drive you from Kigali to Butare which is about 2hrs. While in Butare you will visit the Rwanda national museum.
After you visit to the museum, you will then be driven to Nyungwe forest where you will check-in to the lodge have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking at Nyungwe forest
Have an early morning breakfast and after you head out with your guide into the forest for the chimpanzee tracking activity. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax at the lodge in the evening where you will have Dinner and stay overnight.
Day 4: Guided Nature walk in Nyungwe Forest
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and after go for the guided nature walk in Nyungwe forest.
While on these nature walks, you will get the up-close view of different wildlife species such as Birds, Primates, Plants and many more. After the nature walk, return to lodge to have lunch and relax.
Day 5: Visit Bugarama Hot springs & Lake Kivu
On this day, wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast and later your guide will take you to Bugarama Hot springs.
After your visit to Bugarama Hot springs, you will proceed to the river Rusizi for a boat cruise before heading to Kibuye.
Day 6: Kibuye – Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)
On this day of your Rwanda Safari, you may either relax from your hotel or even spend the day at the shores of Lake Kivu which will ensure that you will recover from safari exhaustion. Later in the day you will transfer to Gisenyi.
Day 7: Volcanoes National Park
On this day wake up in the morning, you will be served with breakfast and after meet your safari guide, later proceed to Volcanoes national park which Rwanda’s primate Capital and Gorilla haven.
Day 8: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
You will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a routine briefing about gorilla trekking in Rwanda.
You will be allocated to a gorilla family to trek. Your gorilla tour starts when you enter the forest on a gorilla trail, meeting the gorillas which takes between 2 to 8 hours which is highly dependent on the movement of the gorillas.
Later in the afternoon you may proceed for a nature walk at volcanoes national park. After return to your lodge for dinner and stay overnight
Day 9: Golden Monkey Tracking.
Wake up early in the morning, you will be served with breakfast at the lodge. After you will head out in search for Golden monkey Parc nationale de Volcans. After your golden monkey trek, you will then proceed to visit Diane Fossey’s grave.
You will later be driven to Lake Ruhondo and Lake Burera also known as the Twin Lakes. Return to the lodge and have dinner where you will also stay overnight.
Day 10: Depart from Ruhondo to Kigali
On this day you will wake up, have breakfast and later your guide will drive around the lakes and visit the Musangabo viewing point. Afterwards he will drive you to Kigali to catch your flight.
