Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Kenya Wildebeest Migration Safari
Day 1: Flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and be transferred to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight from Nairobi to Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and be transferred to the lodge with en-route game drive.
In the afternoon go for a game drive in search for wildlife including the Big Five – lion, leopard, cape buffalo, rhinos and elephants. Masai Mara National Reserve is world-renowned for its exceptional population of lions and other animals.

Day 2-4: Full day game drive in Masai Mara following the Wildebeest Migration
After early morning breakfast with a picnic lunch, you will go for a game drive in the reserve. Lookout for the reserve’s famous wildlife including lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and large herds of wildebeests as part of their annual journey. You will have lunch around the Mara River and spend some time here trying to catch River Crossing live depending on the luck of the day. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Hot air balloon safari and a visit to Masai village
After early coffee, you will be picked up by our guide and head to the reserve for a hot air balloon adventure. This experience offers you a chance to enjoy aerial views of the endless plains of Masai Mara and eye’s view of animals, this amazing experience ends with bush champagne breakfast toasting to this incredible adventure.
Continue with a game drive, then head to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will go for a Maasai Village Visit, interact with the local people, be entertained by local dances and drama and get a deeper insight into the culture and traditions of the Maasai People.

Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park with en-route game drive as well as lunch. Arrive in the late afternoon, with en-route game drive you will be welcomed by the magnificent backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro– the highest free standing mountain on the planet.
Head to your lodge for check-in, have dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full Day Game Drive in Amboseli
Have early breakfast and head to the park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch box, during the game drive expect to see magnificent animals such as cape buffaloes, large herds of elephants, wildebeests, impalas among others.
You will enjoy picnic lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue exploring the plains of Amboseli National Park. After sunset you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, depart Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park. Along the journey you will cross the great lava flow of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Chyulu Hills to Tsavo West National Park. Arrival in time for lunch, in the afternoon proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive and visit to the Rhino Sanctuary, a safe haven for the area’s black rhinos.
This rhino sanctuary is only open from 4 pm to 6 pm each day, provides a rare glimpse into the protected habitat of these animals that have been threatened by extinction since the 1980s due to overhunting.

Day 9: Tsavo West – Game drives
Spend full day in Tsavo West National Park – the largest park in Kenya famous for its large herds of elephants. Animals to lookout for include elephants, Masai giraffes, lesser kudus, zebras, dik diks, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, among others. Tsavo West is also well known for its one-of-a-kind volcanic features, including ‘Five Sisters,’ the five cone-shaped hills nestled in one area and resembling one another.
