Detailed itinerary of 10 Days East Africa Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

You will be met by our company representative at our hotel, briefed and thereafter depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you will have a brief stop at the Rift-Valley Viewpoint where you view the Great Rift Valley, arrive in time for lunch and late have a late afternoon game drive in the park enjoying seeing several animals including giraffes, rhinos and several flamingoes among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After breakfast at the lodge, you will have an en-route game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park as you exit the park. Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch.

After lunch and a short rest you will have late afternoon game drive which is the best time to get a glace of predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs and they crawl out of the shadows. Head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara

Have breakfast at the camp and thereafter enjoy full day game drives with a visit to the Mara River where you will get to see the huge crocodiles as they bask in the sun and alongside them, you will also find hippos as they yawn their way to the surface of the water.

During the great wildebeest migration, Mara River turns to a valley of death and only the fittest survive. Herds of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes cross the Mara River from Serengeti to Masai Mara seeking for greener pastures.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Serengeti

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive through the southern part of Masai Mara as you proceed to Serengeti via the Isebania Border. You will be assisted by your driver guide to clear at customs, then change into Tanzania vehicle and head towards to Serengeti. On arrival, you will have an enroute game drive as you head towards your lodge.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti

After breakfast you will enjoy full-day game drives. Serengeti National Park has rewarding game viewing with prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs and bird viewing with ostrich and Kori Bustard being common, variety of larks, finches and raptors. Serengeti National Park shares the same-ecosystem with Masai Mara thus they are plenty to watch.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area arriving in time for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Full Day in Ngorongoro

Have a full day game drive Ngorongoro Crater – the largest intact caldera in the world and home to the largest concentration of wildlife, the crater is a world heritage site and is often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World. While on the crater floor, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the scenery and game such as lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, gazelles, rhinos among others. Ascend the crater, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Ngorongoro – Amboseli

After morning breakfast at the lodge, drive to Namanga Border where you will clear customs and enter Kenya and be driven to Amboseli National Park. This beautiful park is situated close to the grand mass of snow-crowned Mt. Kilimanjaro.

After lunch, you will have a late afternoon game drive.

Day 9: Full Day in Amboseli

Have early morning game drive to catch the beautiful backdrop of the highest mountain in Africa – Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return for breakfast and proceed for a thrilling game drive around Amboseli National Park, return to the lodge for lunch.

After a short rest, return to the park for an afternoon game drive and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, depart for Nairobi where you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight home or be dropped at your hotel in Nairobi City. This brings your safari to an end.
