DETAILED ITINERARY
Starting time: 5:30Am: Early in the morning on the day of your 1 day Aberdare Mountain peak Le Satima hiking safari, your safari will start with a pick up from your location in Nairobi and set off on a drive through to Aberdare national park through the stunning farmlands in the lower mountain slopes as you proceed to the Aberdare a famous destination that thrills with abundant of wildlife species and a beautiful lush that is eye catching. If you have time, you may enjoy a stopover at the tea farm otherwise proceed on your journey that takes about 212km to get to the park entrance gate regarding the entrance gate one uses. While at the entrance gate, an armed ranger is provided to you for safety and security purposes while on the hike to Mount Satima.
You will then proceed to the starting point of the hike at Wandare gate which is approximately 20km from the park headquarters. The hike then commences at 3,300M as you walk through the moorland vegetation and the heather zone vegetation with the aim of getting to the summit. The estimated hiking time is about 6-7 hours along the most scenic Satima trail that will offer you stunning views of the hugging rocks, scenic views of the rolling hills, U shaped valleys and stunning vegetation cover with wildlife species including Elephants and Buffaloes. By 3 m, you will probably be arriving at the summit of Mount Satima where you will relax as you enjoy your picnic lunch and enjoying the scenic views of different attractions including the views of Mount Kenya in Mount Kenya national park and Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania without forgetting the views of stunning rift valley lakes including Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha and the rolling hills surrounding you.
